Funding, without the crypto jargon
The hourly payment between longs and shorts: why it exists, who pays, and what it costs.
A perpetual contract never expires, so something has to keep its price close to the real share. That something is funding: a small payment every hour between people who are long and people who are short.
- Positive rate: longs pay shorts. This usually means more people want to be long.
- Negative rate: shorts pay longs.
Moveintrade mirrors the hourly rate of the reference market, charges it at the top of each hour, and takes it from (or adds it to) the position's margin.
₹10 an hour is ₹240 a day if the rate stays there. Rates change every hour and can flip sign, so check the "funding / next" figure on the ticket before holding a big position for days.
Your Portfolio shows funding paid and received, by day.
Demo money only. Moveintrade is not live and does not open trading accounts yet. Leverage magnifies losses as much as gains: most retail derivatives traders lose money.
